strengthen immune system: Now or never! (Part 2)

The second part deals with our specific immune

first If the germs get into us, our body begins to fight against unwanted intruders. They do that through various ways, each of which is fairly complicated, but on the other hand, is incredibly interesting. The knowledge of such processes in the body allows us to only the specific use of immunization vaccinations, organ transplants (the body would repel foreign organ, if we could not outwit the immune system) and much more. We do, however, are not talking about transplants, but also strengthen our immune system, thus further: the invading pathogens meets two major opponents in the body: the specific and nonspecific immune

Our specific immune system looks at the non-self structures, including bacteria and viruses closely and it recognizes a germ, it starts this fight specifically. Our specific immune system recognizes the pathogen but only if it has previously seen him before, this is actually logical. It does so not from birth, but must first be acquired.

The first acquaintance between our immune system and pathogens We can realize through an immunization, if we as flu vaccinations. A flu vaccination means therefore a brief introduction of this year's flu viruses in attenuated form. In January, then (or when spinning always the flu virus in full portions through the air) our immune system is the unpleasant reunion with the slogan: "Hey you I know him so, you bad - you I made switch!" Prevent the outbreak of the disease.

Such a pre-school works primarily in viruses, but also in some bacteria. For our topic of influenza vaccination and pneumococcal vaccination are relevant.

  • flu shot is especially for the elderly, chronically ill, and health professionals recommended. Whether it is necessary even for you, you should clarify with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • pneumococci are the causative agent of pneumonia and a vaccine is also especially elderly and chronically ill advised. A more detailed investigation should also take place here with your doctor or pharmacist.
It continues in part 3 ..
